Ozell Atkins

Ozell Atkins, age 87 entered into rest on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Ozell was born in Dearing to the late Louie Bartlett and Maybell Myers Bartlett. She retired from Sibley Mill following 35 years of dedicated service and she had been a faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church since 1965 until her health began declining. Ozell will be remembered for her love of family, gardening, and most of all… fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Atkins.

She is survived by her two children, Larry Atkins (Glenda) and Terry Maddox (Russell); grandson, Brian Atkins (Virginia); and three great grandchildren, Cooper, Crawford, and Rachel, all of Grovetown.

A graveside service will take place 11:00 A.M. Monday August 17, 2020 at West View Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Steele officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Morningside Baptist Church or to National Hills Baptist Church.
