Nell Peck Denning

January 12, 1928 — April 24, 2023

Nell Peck Denning, 95, beloved wife of the late Roger Martin Denning, entered into rest on April 24, 2023.


Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Roscoe Perry officiating.


Mrs. Denning was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Wilbur Fisk Peck and Bernie Thompson Peck.

She attended Georgia State University and graduated in 1978 from Augusta College. She was a member of Aldersgate UMC and came from a long line of strong Methodists. Mrs. Denning worked as a docent at the Augusta Museum of History and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.


Mrs. Denning is survived by her sons, Roger M. Denning, Jr, Jon M. Denning (Debbie), W. Mitchel Denning (Beverly) and Christopher M. Denning (Debra); her daughter, Suzanne M. Denning (Russ Bonin); her brother, R. Perry Peck; her twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wilbur Peck.


The family would like to send special thanks to Promedica Hospice and to Mrs. Denning’s caregivers, Dorenda “Dee” Bowdry and Denise Baker.
