Michael Sean Mccarthy

Evans, GA – Michael Sean McCarthy, 24, entered into rest on Saturday July 12, 2008.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 17, 2008 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Roverse celebrant. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Michael was a 2002 graduate of Lakeside High School. He started his own business and was the owner of Marine Reconditioning Services. Michael was a very determined young man and was very talented with his work. He was driven to succeed. Michael loved spending time with his family and friends, watching movies, and fishing. He was loved by all of his family and he loved all of them dearly. Michael will be deeply missed by his entire family.

Survivors include his loving parents, John J. McCarthy Jr. and Margie S. McCarthy of Evans, his brothers, Kevin Joseph McCarthy and wife Marie of Grovetown, Brian Patrick McCarthy of Atlanta, GA, maternal grandmother, Peggy Smith Stephens of Augusta, aunts, Maureen Smith of Augusta, Mary P. Laubinger of Overland Park, KS, Elsie J. England of Oklahoma City, OK, his uncle, Robert Smith and wife Cheryl of Augusta, GA, niece, Blair Akin McCarthy, nephew, Dayton Chase McCarthy, cousins, Brittany Smith and Natalie Smith, and numerous other cousins and family members.

Pallbearers will be Matt Moore, Matthew Lyons, Jin Hong, David Weitz, Clint Martin, and Evan Moody.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday July 16, 2008 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd.
