Mary Elizabeth Atwell

Mary Elizabeth Atwell, 78, of Augusta passed away on November 10, 2023 in Augusta.

Mary was born Columbus, GA to Richard and Dorothy Williams on May 6, 1945. She married Ralph N. Atwell on February 2, 1963 in Fortson, GA.

She volunteered for Least of These Saints (LOTS) for many years. Then, she was involved in Love of God Ministries that feeds and ministers to the homeless people. She received a plaque for West Acres Baptist Church Senior Adult of the Year in 2014.

Mary is survived by her husband Ralph N. Atwell; son, William Atwell and wife Laura Atwell; Daughter-in-law, Toni Atwell Temple and husband, Dean Temple; brother, Richard L. Williams and wife Vicki Williams. Her grandchildren, David Tyler Atwell, Cara Hall, Antonio David Atwell, Marianna Elizabeth Atwell, Sierra Temple and Jordan Temple. She has several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, November 13, 2023 at West Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Malone Morris officiating.
