Marsha Simone Creary

Beloved daughter, Marsha Simone Creary of Hephzibah, Georgia passed away December 2023

into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born 27 April 1977 in the island

of Jamaica to her Father David K. Creary and Mother Marva L. Llewellyn (Creary/Dixon). Marsha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University, Boca Raton, Florida and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida. Marsha successfully found fulfillment as a certified public school teacher in Florida and Georgia. She also taught children in some of the churches she attended. In her early life, Marsha’s hobbies were swimming, cycling and skating. Later in life, her hobbies changed to reading and writing. This resulted in her achieving several recognition awards as a student writer and later a published author. Marsha was trained as a musician who played the piano and cello.

Predeceasing Marsha in death were her Dad, David Creary in 2021; step-Dad, Lloyd Dixon in 2023 and brother Joseph Creary in 2020. Surviving Marsha is her mother, Marva Dixon of Grovetown, Georgia; her aunt Andrea Earl with her husband, children and grand-children; her uncle Everett Fenton with his wife and children; her uncle Karl Fenton with his wife and children; her uncle Darnell Fenton with his wife, children and grand-children; cousin Liscarl Bell with his wife and children; cousins Michael Leon, Ann French, Michael Walters, Susie Watts, Monique Gray-Jefferson, Patrick Gayle and June Fenton. Additional family members include the Dixon in-laws and their children, God-mothers Lois Montague and Diana Hanson and many friends in the United States and in the island of Jamaica.

Celebration of Marsha Creary’s life and home-going service will be held at Platt's Funeral Home

Chapel, 337 North Belair Road, Evans, Georgia 30809 on 13 January 2024 starting at 11 a.m. Pastor Logan McElmurray from New Life Church will be officiating the funeral service. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service. A livestream of the service will be available on Platt's Facebook page for those who are unable to attend in person. 

The Interment/Burial Service will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4051 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30813.

Immediately after the interment/burial, everyone is invited back to Platt's Funeral Home Reception Room, 337 North Belair Road, Evans, Georgia 30809 for the Repast Fellowship Meeting.
