Margaret Marilyn Carlson

Margaret Marilyn Carlson, 95, of Martinez, Georgia, passed away on July 2, 2023 in Martinez, Georgia.

Margaret Carlson was born West St. Paul, Minnesota to Francis Mulvey and Loretta Johanna Mulvey-Mueller on May 12, 1928. She attended school at Stillwater Junior/Senior High, Stillwater, Minnesota. She married Robert Lee Carlson in June 1946 in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.

Margaret Carlson is preceded in death by Robert Lee Carlson (husband), Edwin and Loretta Mulvey-Mueller (parents), Richard Timothy Carlson, Charles Alan Carlson (sons) and MaryEllen Kollander (sister).

Margaret Carlson is survived by Stephanie A. Warner, Christine A. Redel, Catherine J. Johnson (daughters), Richard Johnson, Kalinda Redel, Cassandra Carlson, Debra Thompson, Ronie Pastko (grandchildren), Mark Deal, Christopher Deal, Jackie Lane, Michelle Sandberg, and Michael Sandberg (great grandchildren).

The family of Margaret Carlson wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Faith Fiscus, Chaplain Mike Sides and all the staff at Traditions Hospice of Augusta for their care and assistants since November 2022.

A memorial service will be held July 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Platt’s Funeral Home located at 337 North Belair Road, Evans, Georgia.
