Marcus Way Viles, 63, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on July 12,2023 in Charlottesville, VA.

Marcus was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Joe Viles and Margaret Dyches Viles on October 8, 1959. This resulted in him earning a Novice Class Amateur Radio License - the highest rating and license that is possible for an amateur radio operator. He was also licensed to fly a glider.

He loved the cold, freezing outdoors. His favorite places to ski and admire the beautiful scenery and nature were Canada, Steamboat Springs and Telluride, CO and Anchorage, AK. Marcus enjoyed classical music and was an enthusiastic book lover. Marcus' sense of satisfaction was spending time with his family and three dogs.

He was always helping others however he could and would always offer his expertise legal advice to anyone who would ask. Marcus was fearless till the end; his courage, grace and strength was immeasurable. He will always be remembered by his kindness, sharp intellect, strong will and uplifting disposition.

Marcus is preceded in death by his adopted son, Sandrino Viles as well as his parents, Joe and Margaret Viles.

He is survived by wife, Angela Viles of Charlottesville, VA; children, Angelique Blitch of Naples, Fl, Alex Viles of Cape Coral, Fl and Maria Viles of Charlottesville, VA and his four grandchildren. Marcus will be dearly missed. He was, at all times, everyone's greatest supporter and encourager.
