Loretta Gay Dismuke

Loretta Gay Dismuke, 73, of Augusta, GA passed away peacefully amongst family on August 24, 2022. She was born to George and Ethel Smelser in Columbia, South Carolina on April 7, 1949. She had a degree in Accounting, worked at Plant Vogtle and retired from the Medical College of Georgia.

She was married to the late Billy Dismuke. Loretta is survived by her brother, Tommy (Shellie) Smelser; her sisters, Georgia Smelser and Ramona Kincaid; three children, daughter, Sandy Bragg; sons, Ted (Michelle) Fulcher and Wayne (Becky) Fulcher; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Cody) Mansell, Shawn (Katelyn) Mansell, Ryan (Tori) Fulcher, Cavan (Alix) Fulcher, Corey (Tiffany) Welch, TJ (Victoria) Fulcher, and Kailey Fulcher and eight great-grandchildren with two on the way.

Loretta loved gardening, cooking and crafting. She also enjoyed going fishing with her husband and spending time with family. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Platt's Funeral Home 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, Georgia 30809.
