Keith Allen Donker

Mr. Keith Allen Donker was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 5, 1958 and died on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Columbia County, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday evening, February 23, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately afterwards until 8:00 PM.
Keith worked as a trauma burn nurse at Doctors Hospital for over 35 years. He received his BS from Ohio State University and served in the US Army from 1977 until 1980. Though he was a nurse by profession, he was also a commercial pilot, a diesel mechanic, a mentor, and a contractor. There was nothing he couldn’t do. His hobbies were doing acts of kindness for everyone, along with camping, cooking, traveling, cruising and being with people and making them happy. Keith made friend with everyone he met and was loved by all. He mended and healed so many burn patients, no matter how young, old, or severe the burns. He had just begun a life of semi-retirement and had lots of trips planned. On Wednesday, February 16, he was found unconscious in his camper, doing one of the many things he loved. An autopsy will reveal the cause of death.
He is survived by his brother, Craig Donker, from Charleston and his sister, Sandra Lail (Mickey) from Hickory, North Carolina. He was uncle to four nieces, two great nieces, three nephews and three great nephews. He was also survived by so many special friends and coworkers, who he referred to as family.
He joins his paternal and maternal grandparents, his uncle, a nephew and his parents, Robert Joseph and Audrey Jean Donker in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
