Kathleen Theresa Leggett

Mrs. Kathleen Theresa Leggett, 81, wife of the late Thomas J. Leggett, died peacefully in her sleep on her birthday, during the witching hour, at her home in Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 in the chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Road, with Chaplain Glenn Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of service.
Kathleen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1940 to Mark J. and Anna Cecilia Huffnagle. She graduated in 1954 from Our Lady of Mercy School, and in 1959, met Thomas Leggett. They married that year. They moved to Martinez in 1982, and then, following a job transfer, the couple moved to Florida. Thomas passed away in 1995, and she relocated to Edgefield to be closer to her family. After deciding to downsize, Kathleen moved to Evans, where she became a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children; Kathleen D. Gaughan (Donald) of Millville, PA., and Joanne Cullum (Richard) of Edgefield. She is also survived by Teresa Gonzalez (Constantino), who was her best friend and closer than a sister, a daughter in law, Joleen Leggett, her eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, including her #1 boss, Cameron. In addition to her husband, was preceded in death by her son, Thomas M. Leggett.
