Katherine Jones

Augusta, GA---Mrs. Katherine “Kitty” Jones, 78, on Monday afternoon, June 16, 2008 entered into rest, with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11:00 am, at the Bible Church of Augusta, 1005 Druid Park Avenue with Reverend Robert ”Bobby” Lehn officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Jones was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Bible Church of Augusta, where she was President of the Ladies Circle. She and her husband were the founders of Operation Salvation.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dewey A. Jones, of Augusta, son and daughter in law, Dewey Michael and Julie Jones, of Martinez, daughter, Micki Jones, of Hilton Head Island, SC, daughter and son in law, Melody and Fred Thomas, of Brevard, NC, brother and sister in law, Louis and Phyllis Slife, of Tipp City, OH, sister, Marie S. Brock, Sidney, OH, six grandchildren, Melissa Moreno, Michael Christensen, Matthew Christensen, Robert Jennings, Amanda Jennings and Brad Jones.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Michael Christensen, Matthew Christensen, Robbie Jennings, Brad Jones, Fred Thomas, Dave Gilmer, Phil Brock and Matias Moreno. Honorary pallbearers will be Jennings Murphy and George Watkins.
