John W. Edwards

John William Edwards, 80, of Evans, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on August 15, 2023.

John was born in Princeton, NC to John Milton Edwards and Eloise Aldridge Edwards on July 16, 1943. He was a graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville, SC in 1961.

He served as Telecommunications Director for J.P. Stevens in Greenville, SC, and with Royal Insurance in Charlotte, NC. He was a veteran and served a 20 year career in the U.S. Navy as a Telecommunications Officer.

John had many interests, to include music, building and repairing computers, researching genealogy, golf, traveling, Clemson Tiger football, playing dominoes and volunteering for charitable organizations. He was member of Trinity Baptist Church in Martinez, GA and loved his Family more than anything.

John is survived by his sons: Jonathan Travis Edwards of Grovetown, GA, Marshall Garland Edwards of Pompano Beach, Florida, Channing Aldridge Edwards of El Paso, TX and Greyson Ryan Edwards of Denver, Colorado; his sisters: Judy McManaway of Greenville, SC and Mary Kannarney of Liberty, SC.

Memorials in John's honor may be given to the Salvation Army, Augusta Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at Blue Ridge View Baptist Church 745 Wolf Creek Rd. Pickens, SC 29671 on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM.
