Helen C. Moore

Helen C. Moore, 97, of Augusta, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2022.

Helen was born in 1924 in Wiggins, SC then moved to Charleston, SC where she lived until she married William Maurice Moore Sr. and moved to Augusta. She was a care coordinator for patient admissions at MCG’s School of Dentistry. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time sewing, embroidering and gardening.

Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Frances Huey (Lee), her daughter and son-in-law Louise Matthews (Kevin) and her grandchildren, Joseph Huey, David Huey, and Rebecca Huey. She is predeceased by her parents Loyless Bedon and Meta Adeline Carter, her husband, her stepson William M. Moore Jr and her granddaughter Michelle Huey.

Mrs. Moore’s family would like to thank the dedicated professionals of SouthEast Hospice for the months of care and compassion.

Graveside funeral services, officiated by Pastor Daniel Romanov, will be on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11am at Westover Memorial Park.
