Frank Wayne Stewart

We regretfully announce the passing of Frank Wayne Stewart, 71, of Appling, GA who passed away at home on July 7th 2023, surrounded by his beloved wife and granddaughter. Wayne spent most of his life in Augusta, GA, a city they loved and would do anything for his friends, family and loved ones.

Wayne was a decorated veteran who served in the Vietnam War and worked as Instrument & Electrical Technician at Solvay Specialty Polymers for 32 years. Wayne and Terri married in 1981 and they spent 42 amazing years together. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents; Frank Anderson Stewart and Elizabeth Kneece Johnson and brother; James Stewart.

He is survived by his wife; Terri, sister; Betty Joe Dickenson (Mike), brother; Robbie Johnson (Kim) and granddaughter; Natalie Nichole Stewart Bafford (Aaron).

Wayne requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Waynes loved ones to join us in celebrating their beautiful life at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 North Belair Road at 5 PM with visitation one hour prior to time of service.
