Mrs. Doris Waddle Dye, beloved wife of the late Henry Dye, Jr., entered into rest on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Eric Lairsey officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Dye was born in Enoree, South Carolina in 1929 to James and Geneva Mae Waddle. She wed Henry Dye, Jr in 1961, and they were married for 55 years until his death in 2016. She retired from First of Georgia Insurance group where she was accounts receivable manager for 27 years. She previously attended Crawford Avenue Baptist Church and was active in the WMU and The Faithful Ones group. Her hobbies included sewing and painting and she loved to cook and bake for her family. Her family will remember her as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Karen Dye, Susan Whitehurst (Martin) and Beth Holt (James), her grandchildren, Shane Logan, Christopher Holt and Zachary Whitehurst, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Lynn Maxwell and also the staff at Keysville Nursing Center for the loving care shown to Mrs. Dye.
