Charles Lawton Powell

Mr. Charles Lawton Powell, husband of the late Marie Powell, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Quest Church with Pastor John Kenney officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Powell was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan with a love for rock music, especially Kiss. He’ll be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Stephanie Eagler (Adam), his mother, Ethel Hale, his grandchildren, Carter, Addison and Adalyn, his brother, Donald Powell (Connie) and his sister, Roxanne Padgett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria, his dad, Lawton and his stepfather, Vernon Hale.

Pallbearers will be Adam Eagler, Carter Eagler, Cody Phillips, Mike Rosier, Blaine Williams and David Carlin.
