Betty S. Howell

Augusta – Mrs. Betty Stewart Howell, 71, widow of the late Ferman Howell, entered into rest on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Heartland Hospice.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddy Bradford officiating.

Mrs. Howell resided in Enterprise, Alabama for several years before moving to Augusta in 2003. She was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, April Storm Hartsell and her husband, Mike, her grandchildren, Jason Phillip Storm, and Kelly Nathaniel Storm, and a step son, Nathan Reed Hartsell. She is also survived by her sisters, Sarah Armstrong, Ruby Wyatt, and Eunice Lowman, and a brother, Carlton Stewart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferman Howell, her grandson, Douglas Ryan Storm, and her parents, Lillie Mae Stewart and Charles B. Stewart.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, April Hartsell on Friday afternoon, July 25, 2008 after 3:00 PM, and then again on Saturday, July 26 after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Howell’s memory to Lewis Memorial United Methodist, 5555 Hereford Farm Road, Evans, GA., 30809 or to Heartland Hospice, 1365 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA., 30909.
