Betty Jeannette Denham

Betty Jeannette Denham, 79, of Grovetown, GA went to be with her Lord on November 15, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born to John Henry and Vera Brumbalow on August 17, 1944 in Stone Mountain, GA.

Betty was a strong Christian – she loved Jesus. She loved NASCAR and the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed all types of gardening. More than anything, she loved her family. She was a mom to all in the community; often making lunches and kool-aid for all of the neighborhood kids. She dedicated her life to being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joey Denham; mother, Vera Baughcum; father, John Henry Brumbalow; sister, Annie Baughcum and brother, Verlon Brumbalow.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband, John Denham; daughters, Sharon (Bert) Lowe and Christy (Greg) Martin; grandchildren, John Paul (Kati) Holley, Kaitlyn (Jack) Lowe-Woelfel, Brad (Kristen) Lowe and Amber (Alex) Lazenby; great-grandchildren, James Woelfel, Savanna Lowe, Mason Lowe, Avery Lowe, Olivia Lowe and Brian Lazenby; sister, Shirley (Eddie) Gribbins and many extended family members to cherish her memory.

Pallbearers will be Billy Denham, Bert Lowe, Greg Martin, John Paul Holley, Jack Woelfel and Ignacio Mendiola.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12-2pm at Platts Funeral Home – Evans. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Barry Clanton, will begin at 2pm in Platts Chapel. Committal will conclude at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
