Abigail Scarlett Holterman

Abigail Scarlett Holterman, 7 years old, of Cumming, GA, passed away on December 18, 2023 in Augusta, GA.

Abigail was born in Cumming, GA to Tyler and Joanna Holterman on September 23, 2016. She went to school at Apparo Academy, where she was deeply loved by everyone. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her.

Abigail was loved and spoiled by many. She had the most contagious smile and knew how to cheer you up just by smiling and laughing. She was known to all her friends, family, teachers, and therapists as a little possum who would fake her way out of doing things she didn’t want to do (and then laugh about it).

Her favorite activities were swimming, watching Trolls and Moana, playing with her dog, going to the park to swing, and kickboxing with her mama. She also loved going to farm therapy to feed and brush her favorite goats, Snowball and Nugget, and the cows.

Abigail’s parents loved her dearly and had a wonderful and adventurous 7 years with her. She was the strongest, most willed little fighter that her family and friends have known. Abigail also had a dog named Bear who she shared a very special bond with.

Abigail is survived by her loving parents, Tyler and Joanna; her grandparents, Samantha and Francis Smith and Tom and Tammy Holterman; aunts and uncles, Bea and Jeremy Halbgewachs, Gary and Hope Steck, Jon and Helena Fausti, David, Lydia, Rhea; cousins, Natalie and Amos Halbgewachs; Alyx, and Luke Fausti and her beloved dog, Bear.

The family of Abigail wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Nurse Kelly, Carole, Auntie Hope, and Hands of Hope. They have been a huge support to the family in this season of life.

Visitation will be held from 10am – 12pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809.

The family requests informal attire. Please come dressed in bright colors to celebrate Abigail’s bright and happy life.
